However, they made a bunch of errors that baffled coach Marco Rossi in their Euro 2024 opener. Switzerland took a 2-0 lead on Saturday over Hungary. Barnabas Varga squandered a good chance but managed to get a goal back for Hungary as he headed in a Dominik Szoboszlai cross.
Switzerland continued to push forward and grabbed a third goal. It was a disappointing start to Hungary’s Euro 2024 campaign. They sit in third place in the Group A UEFA Euro standings and a loss here could be fatal. Cutting down on errors will be the first step for a team that went unbeaten for 14 straight games.
