Sepp Straka Seeking John Deere Classic Double

Austrian Features on 2024 John Deere Classic Odds

The John Deere Classic is a tournament up for grabs with the world’s best players choosing not to turn up.

Whilst the field is disappointing, we’re not disappointed with the 2024 John Deere Classic odds, which have Jordan Spieth, Straka, and Sungjae Im at +1600.

The golf schedule is about to heat up with The Open Championship approaching, so it’s an important tournament to win.

A Familiar Feeling for Straka

We’re backing the big Austrian to win the John Deere Classic, having won the 2023 edition.

The 31-year-old wasn’t too far behind Tom Kim at the Travelers Championship when finishing T23, and he continues what has been a great year for the former DP World Tour player.

The two-time PGA Tour winner is one of the more underrated players on the Tour, despite golf betting odds having him as the joint favorite.

He has performed well enough at the majors in 2024, including a T16 finish at The Masters. He also owns two top 10s at the majors, both coming in 2023.

Straka talked about his brother Sam, who he believes would make a great player at some stage.

“I’ve always been a steady player, but he hits it longer and has a knack for the spectacular, the ability to make birdies from unlikely places,” Straka said. “Thankfully, we never played each other for money. It was just about pride and bragging rights – otherwise, I would have lost most of my pocket money to him!

There is enough form on the board for Straka to repeat as a John Deere Classic champion, and getting +1600 with 2024 John Deere Classic odds is too good to pass up.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Chance for Spieth to Fire

Jordan Spieth is one of the more frustrating and frustrated golfers on the PGA Tour. The former world number one is not playing his best golf, and many of the former ‘it’ golfers from his generation are struggling, including Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas.

However, there are no superstars in this field, and the 30-year-old could be at the top of the PGA leaderboard.

He’s a 13-time winner, including a Masters, U.S. Open, and Open Championship winner, so class is with him.

He is the best player in the field, and that’s no contest, so we’re not overlooking the +1600 on offer.

Spieth is also a two-time winner of the John Deere Classic, so it’s a tournament he loves. Playing a familiar course could see his best form return, and although his most recent win at the tournament came in 2015, it’s there for the taking.

His 2024 John Deere Classic odds are worth snapping up.

Beau Knows How Good He Is

The former Texas collegiate player could spark into life at the John Deere Classic. Beau Hossler is better than his form suggests.  The 29-year-old has been on the PGA Tour for many years now, and he has been able to retain his card, so credit to him.

However, he has yet to win, and we think it’s only a matter of time before he breaks through for his first win.

He comes off a T31 performance at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, and he’s playing most weeks, so he’s not lacking recent experience.

Hossler also finished T14 at the Canadian Open and T4 at the Myrtle Beach Classic, and although the best players weren’t at Myrtle Beach, it should have given him some confidence.

Getting +4500 for a player of his ability is tough to ignore, so lock in the value.

Road From Injury Continues for Berger

Daniel Berger was once a prolific winner on the PGA Tour, having scored wins in the Fed Ex St. Jude Classic, Charles Schwab Challenge, and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The 31-year-old American hasn’t bounced back from an injury he picked up in 2022, but we’re prepared to stick with him.

He finished T21 at the U.S. Open, which was an excellent performance, and despite missing the cut last week at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, he wasn’t too far away.

His golf isn’t the most consistent, but that’s golf betting. Consistency doesn’t always matter, and getting +6600 odds is mouthwatering. It will only take a good showing for Berger to get back to his best, and the John Deere Classic looks right up his alley.

The best golf players aren’t in the tournament, so now is his best chance to finish close to the top of the leaderboard.
