Bell leads favorites in NASCAR 2024 USA Today 301 Odds

Iowa saw a new winner for 2024. Will we see that again on New Hampshire's Magic Mile?

Defending Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney finally broke through for his first win of the 2024 season in Iowa. Blaney led 201 of 350 laps and won Stage 1 of the race to punch his ticket to the playoffs once again.

Polesitter Kyle Larson spun out on Lap 220 and ended the race 36 laps down. This week, the grid heads to the northeast for its annual trip to New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and the 2024 USA Today 301 Odds favor a repeat winner this weekend.

2024 USA Today 301 Odds: Favorites

  • Christopher Bell (+400)

Bell finished fourth in Iowa and led seven laps last weekend. It marked his fifth top-10 finish in the last six races and his best since his dominant win in Charlotte. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver is in the best form over that stretch on the Cup Series grid.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Bell leads the NASCAR odds this weekend thanks to his results here and at similar tracks. He won this event in 2022, and one of his wins this season came at Phoenix.

He’s also raced well at similar flat tracks like Richmond (sixth) and Gateway (seventh, two stage wins and most laps led). He should be considered a near-lock for the top five, barring surprise contact.

  • Denny Hamlin (+500)

Hamlin’s slide continued last week in Iowa. After notching five straight top-five finishes, Hamlin finished classified 24th and two laps down from Blaney. Things could change this weekend, though.

Hamlin won this race in 2017 and has finished in the top 10 in each of the last five events there. He’s put up great NASCAR results at similar tracks in 2024 as well.

One of his three wins this season came at Richmond, he took pole position at Phoenix and led the most laps, and he finished second in Gateway. All of that bodes well for his chances in Loudon.

  • Martin Truex Jr. (+500)

Truex Jr. got closer to normal following a rough patch in Gateway and Sonoma. The defending regular-season champion finished 15th in Iowa in a hopeful sign for his form. Luckily, he’s heading to one of his best tracks on the NASCAR schedule 2024.

He won this race last year for his eighth top-10 result in the last nine events there. Truex Jr. is far more consistent in New Hampshire than any other active driver on the grid and that gives plenty of confidence regardless of his recent results.

  • Ryan Blaney (+650)

Blaney’s dominant win ended his winless streak dating back to the playoff race in Martinsville last season. The Team Penske driver has won consecutive races just once in his career (2021).

He’s never raced particularly well in New Hampshire; in 11 career Cup Series races there, he has just two top-five finishes. But he finished fifth in Phoenix, which gives him some confidence, on top of his recent win.

  • Kyle Larson (+700)

Larson earned a Cup Series-best fourth pole position in Iowa, but he again failed to convert that into a victory. He picked up a Series-best eighth stage win but lost the lead in the Cup Series standings. He’s now second behind teammate Chase Elliott.

New Hampshire could be a good bounce-back situation for him. He looked good in Richmond (pole position and Stage 1 win) and Gateway (second). In 11 career races at Loudon, Larson is yet to win but he has finished in the top 10 seven times.

  • Joey Logano (+800)

Logano is in a new position this weekend as one of the favorites. New Hampshire is where the two-time champion won his first Cup Series back in 2009. After his second top-six result in the last three races, he’s in solid form. His second place in Richmond and fifth in Gateway make him a contender this weekend.

2024 USA Today 301 Odds: Sleepers

  • Brad Keselowski (+1400)

Keselowski has two New Hampshire wins in the last 10 years on his resume, the most recent in 2020. Only Hamlin has a better career average finish at the track among active drivers.

This year, Keselowski’s notched top-10 finishes in Phoenix (fourth), Richmond (eighth), and Gateway (third). All of that makes him an excellent sleeper option at these odds.

  • Tyler Reddick (+1600)

Like Keselowski, Reddick has top 10 finishes in all three similar tracks on the calendar with 10th in Phoenix, 10th in Richmond, and fourth in Gateway. Last week marked one of his worst results this season with 22nd by the checkered flag. He could use a bounce-back race and this could be the place for it. Last year he finished sixth in this race.

2024 USA Today 301 Odds: Predictions

New Hampshire’s the latest in a string of flat track oval events on the calendar. It’s a familiar place for many drivers and the only event to run for 301 laps.

Of the favorites, we like Truex Jr. (+500) to earn his first win of the season. Logano (+800) has a better payout that we like as well. Of the sleepers, go with Keselowski (+1400).

Our top five picks are:

  • Truex Jr. (-120)
  • Keselowski (+250)
  • Bell (-130)
  • Larson (+125)
  • Reddick (+275)
