Fever Getting Hot

The Fever are starting to put things together and are moving up the standings. Although still a few games behind the Dream, they are closing the gap and a win on Friday would bring them even closer to overcoming the floundering Dream.

Indiana has now won four of their last five games, and although it has been against some of the weaker competition in the league, their only loss was to the number one seed Connecticut Sun.

Caitlin Clark has been the story for the Fever as she proves in her rookie season that she plans to be one of the league’s best WNBA players. In the Fever’s most recent game, she scored 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds and six assists.

Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston both had big scoring nights as well, each scoring 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting. The Fever defeated the Washington Mystics 88-81.

The Fever shot incredibly from the field as a team hitting 50.8% of their field goals in the game. They held the Mystics to 41.4% from the field and 32.4% from 3-point land. The Fever covered the -5 spread in the game and the total went over the 167-point line.

Last Week’s Matchup

The Fever edged out the Dream 91-84 in their last matchup. The Fever was fueled by career-high scoring nights from Boston who had 27 points, 13 rebounds, and a big night from Mitchell who scored 24 points.

The win came despite a quiet performance from rookie Clark who had seven points. Indiana raced out to a big lead in the first half, scoring 59 points, but Atlanta clawed back in the second, capitalizing on a cold spell from the Fever.

The game remained tight in the final minutes until Indiana closed on a 10-2 run. Key free throws from Mitchell and a clutch layup by Boston down the stretch proved enough for the Fever to grab the win. Atlanta’s Howard’s 26 points and six 3-pointers kept her team in the game, but turnovers in crunch time ultimately cost them.

Fever Favored on the Road

The last time these teams played the Dream were the ones favored on the road, and the Fever took care of them fairly handedly. Our Fever vs Dream WNBA prediction has the Fever winning again on Friday and continuing their hot streak.

The Fever are 5-5 in their last ten games and are 4-6 against the spread in those games. They are 8-8 against the spread (ATS) for the season. The Fever have gone over their total in nine of their last ten games.

The Dream are 4-6 in their last ten games and are 4-6 against the spread. They are 5-8 ATS this season. They have hit the under in three of their last five matchups.
