Where Will Pascal Siakam Sign?

NBA free agency is upon us, and there will likely be no shortage of stars available at the right price.

Among them is Pascal Siakam, who thrived while playing alongside Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner after being acquired in a midseason trade from Toronto.

Siakam averaged 21.3 points and 7.8 rebounds while shooting nearly 39% from 3-point range with Indiana. After finishing the regular season with 47 wins, the Pacers reached the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

The Pacers have reportedly prioritized re-signing Siakam to a max contract, which would be five years and $245 million. But what if Siakam decides to go elsewhere?

THE FAVORITE

Philadelphia 76ers (+300)

• Philadelphia — a +300 favorite for Pascal Siakam’s next team odds — will be ripe with cap space to build a contender around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
• Finding another star to pair with that duo is a priority for Daryl Morey following another playoff exit.
• Morey figures to have plenty of options. There are already rumors connecting Philadelphia with Paul George and Klay Thompson. But Siakam is certainly at the top of the 76ers’ list.

TOP CONTENDERS

Oklahoma City Thunder (+400)

• Oklahoma City took a big step forward this year, posting the Western Conference’s best record at 57-25. After falling short in the playoffs, and losing in the conference semifinals to Dallas, the Thunder will look for a veteran star to complement their young core.
• The 6-foot-8 Siakam would give them another scorer in the frontcourt alongside Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren.

Memphis Grizzlies (+500)

• Despite all its issues, Memphis is still elite when its Big Three of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr. play together. Now, imagine adding Siakam into the fold.
• The Grizzlies are capable of a quick turnaround if they play their cards right this offseason.

San Antonio Spurs (+600)

• How will San Antonio build around Victor Wembanyama? The Spurs figure to generate a lot of attention from established free agents who want to play alongside the reigning Rookie of the Year.
• The Spurs hope to build a contending team this summer after winning only 22 games last season.

Sacramento Kings (+800)

• The Kings were reportedly interested in Siakam before last season’s trade deadline. After falling short in their pursuit of the two-time All-Star, they’ll have another crack at him during free agency.
• He’d fit in nicely alongside DeAaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.

NEXT IN LINE

Houston Rockets (+1000)

• Last summer’s spending spree didn’t yield the results fans hoped, as Houston finished 41-41 and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season.
• The Rockets could either run it back or make another deep dive into free agency. The latter seems likelier and will reunite Siakam with his old Raptors teammate, Fred VanVleet.

Cleveland Cavaliers (+1200)

• The Cavaliers’ offseason plan has yet to be determined. One possibility is trading Jarrett Allen or Darius Garland to add another star.
• Dealing Allen — who missed most of this year’s playoffs with a rib injury — could theoretically open more room in the frontcourt for Siakam.
• Bottomline: the Cavaliers need to give Donovan Mitchell more help.

Minnesota Timberwolves (+1200)

• The Timberwolves have the resources to go big-star hunting in pursuit of another trip to the conference finals. One possibility is adding Siakam, especially if they decide to move either Karl-Anthony Towns or Rudy Gobert.
• Only three teams have better NBA odds to win the title in 2024-25 than Minnesota (+850).

Los Angeles Clippers (+1600)

• George can become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and although he’s publicly expressed a willingness to remain in Los Angeles, the nine-time All-Star seems headed for the open market.
• With the Clippers reportedly unwilling to pay George more than the three-year, $152.3 million extension they gave to Kawhi Leonard, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey, it may be time for a breakup.
• One direction Los Angeles can take is letting George walk and signing Siakam.

LONGSHOTS

Detroit Pistons (+2200)

• Siakam would give Detroit a legitimate option at a position of need while weakening a division rival. The Pistons need all the help they can get after finishing with the league’s worst record (14-68).

Golden State Warriors (+2200)

• Signing Siakam is an enticing possibility as the Warriors look to climb the NBA conference standings and maximize their remaining championship window.

Charlotte Hornets (+2500)

• Charlotte should have the cap space it needs to lure an established star to play alongside Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball.
• Then again, Siakam may prefer to play with a more established winner. Keep that in mind when making NBA prop bets.
