Let’s dive into the 2024 Ja’Marr Chase Season Odds and see what we think is best for our free NFL picks.

Career So Far

Ja’Marr Chase’s young career has been a whirlwind of success. After lighting up college football at LSU, where he won the prestigious Biletnikoff Award and a National Championship alongside quarterback Joe Burrow, Chase entered the NFL as the fifth overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021.

Reunited with Burrow, Chase wasted no time making his mark, earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and setting Bengals franchise records for receiving yards in both a season and a single game. He’s continued to impress with his ability to make big plays, leading the NFL in receiving touchdowns of 50 yards or more since his rookie year.  Even in the playoffs, Chase has become a force, setting Bengals postseason records for receptions and receiving yards.

Chase has eclipsed the 1000 receiving-yard line in all three of his NFL seasons. He has a total of 268 catches for 3,717 yards and 29 total touchdowns so far in his career. His rookie season was his best, with 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns, but he hasn’t disappointed in the two seasons since then.

Last season Chase snagged 100 catches for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns. This line would have covered his receiving yards prop for this year, but not his touchdown prop.

Cincinnati’s Offensive Potential

The Cincinnati Bengals offense is shaping up to be a receiver’s paradise in 2024, but with some kinks to iron out. Chase, the undisputed leader of the receiving corps, can expect to see plenty of targets again. His elite route-running and ability to snag deep balls should continue to torment defenses. However, there are changes afoot that could affect Chase’s production.

The arrival of rookie Jermaine Burton adds another weapon, potentially forcing defenses to adjust their coverages. This could open up even more space for Chase, but it could also lead to slightly fewer targets depending on how quickly Burton integrates.

Additionally, the Bengals are looking to replace Tyler Boyd in the slot receiver role. A consistent presence there will be crucial in creating mismatches and freeing up Chase for those big plays. Overall, the Bengals’ receiving group has the potential to be explosive, but Chase’s dominance might depend on how well the new pieces settle in around him.

Chase will also benefit from the return of his quarterback Joe Burrow. Burrow missed the end of last season with a wrist injury, and his return to health will give Chase more opportunities for both receiving yards and touchdowns. I also will allow the Bengals to be at the top of the NFL standings in 2024.

Find a Good Line

The 2024 Ja’Marr Chase Season Odds range from book to book. We have seen lines as high as 1300 receiving yards and touchdown lines as low as 8.5. We don’t think there is great value at 9.5 touchdowns, but 8.5 could be a solid bet. With Burrow back in the mix, Chase could have another great season and catch a few more touchdowns than last year.
